70-Year-Old Recovers After Emergency Surgery for Intestinal Tumor
A 70-year-old resident of Primorsky Territory has recovered well after emergency surgery for a severe intestinal obstruction. The patient was rushed to Vladivostok Clinical Hospital No. 4 with sharp abdominal pain, extreme bloating, and clear signs of a blockage in the digestive tract. Upon admission, doctors discovered a tumour in the cecum measuring around five centimetres across. The growth was causing the obstruction, leaving surgeons no choice but to operate immediately.
The procedure involved removing the affected section of the intestine. Surgeons successfully restored normal passage through the digestive system while keeping all functions intact. No complications arose during the operation. Since the surgery, the patient’s health has shown steady improvement. Medical staff continue to monitor their recovery closely.
The operation successfully eliminated the blockage and preserved full digestive function. The patient remains under observation but is progressing well after the removal of the tumour. Further updates on their condition will depend on follow-up assessments.
