Primorsky Krai cracks down on farmers over livestock rule violations

Authorities in Primorsky Krai have issued over 230 warnings to farmers for failing to follow veterinary rules. The penalties include cases of missing livestock and refusal to vaccinate or register animals. A recent meeting highlighted the need for stricter epizootic safety measures. On 15 June 2025 alone, eleven warnings were issued for non-compliance with preventive measures or livestock registration. Among those penalised was B.I. Nurmotov, a farmer from Pavlovka. He was warned for denying access to 69 head of cattle for leptospirosis vaccination and registration. Additionally, he brought 72 head onto his farm and moved 86 out without notifying authorities or obtaining required certificates.

Another farmer, Kh.Kh. Amonov from Grigoryevka, received a warning after 24 head of cattle went missing during a disease outbreak restriction. Officials have noted that the total number of warnings in 2025 has already surpassed last year’s figure for similar violations.

To address the issue, Andrey Krasnoperyov and Kirill Khizhinsky held a meeting on epizootic safety in the region. Authorities are also running outreach campaigns to inform farmers about veterinary regulations and the importance of compliance. The warnings serve as a reminder of the strict rules governing livestock management. Rosselkhoznadzor continues to monitor compliance closely. Farmers are urged to cooperate with veterinary services to prevent further penalties and disease risks.
