London's First 24/7 EV Charging Hub Opens Near Heathrow with Ultra-Fast Power

London’s first major electric vehicle charging hub opened on 12 June 2026. The site at Hatton Cross forms part of a wider plan to expand charging infrastructure across the capital. It aims to support the growing number of battery-electric vehicles already on the roads. The Hatton Cross hub operates around the clock and runs on renewable energy. It includes 12 ultra-rapid bays, each delivering up to 400 kW of power. The design features extra-wide spaces and two fully accessible charging points for ease of use.

Its location near Heathrow Airport and key motorways offers convenience for drivers. More hubs are set to follow, including a 36-bay site at Hanger Lane. These developments align with London’s target of 40,000 public charge points by 2030.

A share of the revenue from these hubs will fund local projects and climate initiatives. The city currently has over 175,000 registered battery-electric cars and vans. By 2030, this number is projected to surpass one million. The new hub marks the first of 25 planned across London. It supports the shift to electric transport while contributing to sustainability goals. The expansion will help meet rising demand as EV adoption accelerates.
