Pelorus Unveils Curious Minds to Transform Family Travel Through Learning

Pelorus has launched a new family travel service called Curious Minds. The programme aims to shape a child’s development through meaningful experiences. It draws inspiration from Sir David Attenborough’s legacy of exploration and learning. Curious Minds places children’s interests and personalities at the heart of trip planning. Pelorus has created five traveller profiles to tailor itineraries: Guardian, Creator, Seeker, Explorer, and Storyteller.

For Guardians, activities centre on conservation and research, such as tagging humpback whales in Antarctica. Explorers embark on adventures in remote locations, like treasure trails in São Tomé and Príncipe.

Seekers can join astronomy expeditions in Namibia or learn monofin swimming in Indonesia. Storytellers engage in cultural exchanges, such as meeting communities in Papua New Guinea. Creators are encouraged to document their journeys through photography, writing, or art, like retracing Odysseus’ path. Pelorus believes the value of family trips should be measured by what children learn and how they grow. The new service offers tailored experiences designed to inspire and educate young travellers. Each itinerary aligns with the interests of the child and the family’s travel style.
