Space Force unveils sleek new uniforms for recruits ahead of December debut

The U.S. Space Force has revealed its new service uniforms for the latest group of recruits. The design replaces earlier prototypes that featured a more futuristic look with shiny silver accents. The uniforms are now available for order and will debut at a graduation ceremony later this month. The Department of the Air Force announced in September that personnel could start ordering the new uniforms in November. Recruits from the 37th Training Group have already been fitted, with photos released to showcase the updated style.

The final design includes dark gray trousers and shirts, paired with a deep navy-blue coat and tie. The coat features a diagonal closure with silver buttons running toward the right shoulder. Full implementation across the force is expected by 2026, with delivery scheduled for mid that year.

Developing a distinct uniform has been part of the Space Force’s effort to shape its identity. Since its creation in 2019, many members transitioned from the Air Force, making cultural differentiation a priority. The new uniforms will be worn by recruits at their graduation ceremony on December 18. This marks a step toward establishing a unique visual identity for the Space Force. The rollout will continue over the next few years as production and distribution expand.
