Nizhny Novgorod approves safe swimming spots after water quality tests

Authorities have confirmed that several lakes and park beaches in Nizhny Novgorod are safe for swimming. The announcement follows regular water quality checks by Rospotrebnadzor at popular recreation sites. In the Sormovsky District, Lake Pestichnoye, Lake Svetloyarskoye, and Lake Lunskoye have all been declared safe. Both beaches at Lake Svetloyarskoye meet the required standards.

The Kanavinsky District also has approved swimming spots. Lake Bolnichnoye is safe, as are both beaches at Lake Sortirovochnoye.

Elsewhere, Lake Silikatnoye in the Leninsky District has been cleared for swimming. Permission has also been granted for the lakes at the First Stage Culture and Recreation Park on Smirnov Street in the Avtozavodsky District and at the Second Stage Culture and Recreation Park on Molodyozhny Prospect. Rospotrebnadzor continues to test water quality across the region. Only the listed sites are officially recommended for swimming. All other water bodies remain unrestricted but not advised for public use.
