Wartburgkreis Disability Office Closes for Two-Day Tech Upgrade

The Disability Assessment Office of the Wartburgkreis District Administration will close for in-person visits on 1 and 2 July 2026. The shutdown is part of a statewide technical upgrade affecting the Thuringian State Data Center. Limited telephone support will remain available during this time. The closure comes as the region transitions to a new technical system. This upgrade will temporarily disable the specialised software used for disability assessments. Staff will not be able to process requests or conduct appointments in person during the two-day period.

The new system is set to be fully functional by 6 July 2026. Normal operations, including all inquiries and assessments, are expected to restart on that date. Residents seeking disability assessments will need to wait until 6 July for full services to return. Phone support will be restricted until the system update is complete. The district has confirmed that all functions will resume once the transition finishes.
