SkyFall's AI-Powered Drone Interceptor Now Defending Ukraine Against Shahed Attacks

SkyFall has introduced an upgraded version of its drone interceptor, the P1-SUN Long. The system features an AI module designed for autonomous detection, tracking and engagement of aerial threats. It is already in active use by Ukrainian forces after undergoing combat testing. The P1-SUN Long integrates SkyFall’s remote-control technology. Operators can manage the platform from any location with a stable internet connection. This flexibility enhances deployment in dynamic combat scenarios.

The AI-based terminal guidance system can detect and lock onto targets up to one kilometre away. Its algorithms were trained using real combat data, simulations, and a platform that replicates Shahed drone thermal signatures. The software runs on standard CPUs and GPUs, simplifying large-scale production.

The system has already recorded dozens of confirmed interceptions of Russian Shahed-type attack drones. Its AI model enables faster target detection and locking than human operators. Remote updates also allow operators to deploy new neural network models without returning the interceptor to the manufacturer.

SkyFall and Airbus Defence and Space have signed a memorandum of understanding. The partnership aims to strengthen protection against drone and missile attacks in Ukraine and Europe. The P1-SUN Long is now operational with Ukrainian forces. Its AI-driven capabilities and remote management offer enhanced defence against aerial threats. The collaboration with Airbus Defence and Space signals further expansion of its protective measures across Europe.
