Almaty's New Vision Forum 2026 Unites Global Leaders on AI and Digital Future
Almaty recently hosted the third New Vision Forum 2026, drawing nearly five thousand attendees from diverse sectors. The event centred on economics, technology, and business leadership, with discussions on global markets, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. The forum opened with keynote speeches from prominent figures. John Gray, author of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus, addressed stress management in a changing world. Don Tapscott, CEO of the Blockchain Research Institute, shared his prediction that personal AI agents could soon take on multiple roles for individuals.
Local leaders also took the stage. Bagdat Musin, Chairman of Kazakhtelecom JSC, emphasised the need to preserve human intelligence amid technological advances. Dmitry Mun, Deputy Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, announced that Kazakhstan’s agriculture sector is on track for 60-70% digitalisation through AI integration. Olzhas Smagulov, Deputy Mayor of Almaty, reaffirmed the city’s goal to become the country’s leading technology hub.
The event also marked the launch of the New Vision Business Academy, a platform designed to support entrepreneurs. Additionally, organisers highlighted ongoing projects, including Central Asia’s largest data processing centre and the Almaty Mountain Cluster, which is expected to attract over $2 billion in investment. The forum provided a platform for global and local experts to exchange ideas on the future of business and technology. Key announcements included new initiatives, investment plans, and the growing role of AI in Kazakhstan’s development.
