New DLT Partnership Unites Italy's Tokenised Asset Market Under One System
Seturion, owned by Boerse Stuttgart Group, has teamed up with Weltix and BlockInvest to create an integrated infrastructure for DLT-based financial instruments in Italy. The partnership aims to streamline the issuance, circulation, and settlement of tokenised assets under one regulated system. Industry leaders have highlighted its potential to address fragmentation in Europe’s digital capital markets. Under the collaboration, issuers can structure and issue tokenised financial instruments through BlockInvest’s platform. Weltix, authorised by Italy’s Consob regulator, will manage the circulation of these instruments via its DLT register. This ensures compliance with the country’s fintech decree.
Seturion will handle the settlement of transactions. It offers flexibility to settle in central bank money or on-chain cash. The infrastructure also makes the instruments eligible for trading across multilateral trading facilities and over-the-counter environments, including direct access to Boerse Stuttgart Group venues.
The partnership is open to additional participants, such as banks, trading venues, and other market players. Sven Wilke, Deputy CEO and CGO of Seturion, noted that it provides the entire value chain in one regulated architecture, from issuance to settlement. Lorenzo Rigatti, Founder and CEO of BlockInvest, added that it builds a seamless, end-to-end corridor for moving assets and capital across European borders. The new infrastructure is designed to support tokenised financial instruments in a regulated and interconnected way. It enables trading and settlement across different markets while addressing current fragmentation in Europe’s digital capital ecosystem. The collaboration marks a step towards a more fluid and integrated financial landscape.
