Omsk Oblast faces hazardous air quality as pollution spikes overnight

The Ob-Irtysh Hydrometeorological Service has warned of poor air quality in Omsk Oblast. Unfavourable conditions were recorded on June 14, 2026, with further deterioration expected overnight and into the morning of June 15. Adverse weather is forecast for the region during the night and early hours of June 15. This will trap pollutants in the lower atmosphere, worsening air quality. Authorities have urged industrial sites to cut emissions in line with safety rules.
