Lower Austria's digi4business initiative transforms local companies with tech
The digi4business initiative is helping local companies in Lower Austria adopt digital transformation. Funded by the state and the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce, it supports projects that improve efficiency through technology. Twelve successful digitalisation projects were showcased between May 2025 and May 2026. Among the highlighted projects are innovations from BioPower GmbH, Hager Bakery, and BTG Spedition und Logistik GmbH. BioPower uses sensors and custom software to analyse raw materials and gas quality, improving biogas production. Hager Bakery employs AI-driven demand forecasting to optimise production and cut food waste. BTG Spedition uses an AI-powered dispatch tool to streamline truck routes.
In July, the public will have the chance to vote for the digi4business Project of the Year. The winner will be announced in September during a ceremony hosted by Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner and Wolfgang Ecker, President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce. The winning company will receive a voucher for an advertisement in the Chamber’s magazine. They will also choose between a free corporate video or a complimentary event at the House of Digitalization showroom in Tulln. The prize aims to recognise and promote outstanding digital initiatives in the region.
