Manipal University Jaipur soars in 2026 global sustainability rankings
Manipal University Jaipur has improved its position in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for 2026. The institution now sits in the 201-300 band, up from its 301-400 ranking in 2025. This progress reflects its growing contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The university made significant gains across several SDG categories. In SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, it climbed to 58th globally in 2026, a dramatic rise from the 401-600 band the previous year. It also reached 85th place in SDG 2: Zero Hunger.
MUJ improved in SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, moving to the 401-600 band from 601-800. SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure saw a similar upward shift, advancing to the 201-300 band from 301-400. The university also progressed in SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, now in the 101-200 band after being in 201-300.
Notable jumps included SDG 13: Climate Action, where MUJ moved from the 401-600 band to 101-200. It maintained its 101-200 ranking in SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and SDG 15: Life on Land. The university’s overall ranking now places it in the 201-300 band. These improvements demonstrate its increasing impact across multiple sustainability and development goals. The results highlight MUJ’s commitment to advancing global SDG targets.
