ANA's Iconic C-3PO Jet Takes Its Final Flight in January 2026

ANA Airways is preparing to retire its C-3PO-themed Boeing 777-200ER in early 2026. The aircraft, part of the airline’s long-running Star Wars collaboration, will complete its final flights over three days in January. Fans will have one last chance to see the iconic jet before the project officially ends.

The farewell events begin on January 7, 2026, with the first flight departing from Tokyo’s Haneda Airport (HND) to Osaka Itami Airport (ITM). Over three days, a total of 18 flights will operate across Japan, including routes to and from Fukuoka Airport (FUK). The final journey of the C-3PO jet will land back at Haneda on January 9, 2026.

ANA will then host a special closing event on **January 10, 2026**, to thank supporters of the *Star Wars* project. Attendees can view the C-3PO aircraft up close, explore an exhibition of the R2-D2-themed jet, and see a model of the BB-8 plane. Entry is free, with 40 pairs of tickets available via a raffle for ANA Mileage Club members. The *Star Wars* partnership first launched in 2015, featuring multiple themed aircraft, such as a BB-8 Boeing 777-300ER and an R2-D2 and BB-8 Boeing 767-300ER. After a decade of fan engagement, the project will officially conclude on **March 31, 2026**.

The retirement of the C-3PO jet marks the end of ANA’s decade-long Star Wars collaboration. The final flights and exhibition give fans a last opportunity to experience the themed aircraft. The project’s closure follows years of special liveries and fan events across Japan.
