Bayer overhauls global payment system with Broadridge Swift upgrade
Bayer AG has completed a major upgrade to its global payment infrastructure. The company migrated to the Broadridge Swift Service Bureau (SSB), modernising how it handles financial transactions worldwide. This move strengthens security, efficiency, and compliance across its operations. The migration project was carried out using a collaborative agile approach. It now supports over 4 million annual payment transactions, connecting Bayer with more than 80 banking partners globally. The new system also integrates Swift’s Transaction Screening Service (TSS), allowing real-time monitoring of payments.
The updated infrastructure adopts standardised ISO 20022 messaging, improving transparency and oversight. It aligns with Swift’s SCORE+ performance standards, ensuring higher reliability and compliance. Bayer’s global payments now benefit from enhanced security, operational resilience, and a scalable model for future growth. With the migration complete, Bayer’s payment processes are now more secure and efficient. The new system provides real-time screening, standardised messaging, and stronger compliance controls. These changes support the company’s global financial operations while meeting modern industry requirements.
