The body of a 60-year-old man was found floating in the Korai River near Rajarchar in Barishal Sadar on Saturday morning. Local authorities identified the deceased as Sabuj Hawladar, who had been reported missing since Friday afternoon. Sabuj Hawladar, son of the late Abdul Aziz Hawladar, resided in Dakshin Durgapur village under Chandpura Union. He was last seen leaving his home on Friday afternoon before his disappearance was reported. The body was discovered at around 6:00am on Saturday by locals near Rajarchar.
A preliminary examination revealed no visible signs of injury. The body was later taken to Sher-E-Bangla Medical College Hospital for a detailed autopsy. Authorities confirmed that the remains would be released to the family once the post-mortem is complete.
