Cuauhtémoc removes 10,900+ tons of waste in one week's blitz

These sites, around 200 in total, are monitored daily to stop garbage from piling up on streets. The borough’s sanitation teams also collected 9,048 tons of waste through standard collection routes.

The push comes as part of a wider plan to reclaim public spaces and reduce health risks. By tackling both recurring dumping hotspots and routine waste, authorities hope to keep streets cleaner and more accessible. Regular operations like these are now a key part of the borough’s maintenance strategy. The week-long effort removed a combined total of 10,945 tons of solid waste. Officials confirm that ongoing cleanups will continue to target illegal dumping while maintaining standard services. The goal remains to create safer, more orderly streets for residents and drivers.
