EnBW's fleet expands to 5,400 vehicles with a focus on electrification

EnBW has expanded its vehicle fleet significantly over the past decade. The company now manages around 5,400 vehicles, up from 3,600 in 2015. This growth comes alongside major investments in electric charging infrastructure and new mobility services.

The increase in fleet size stems from EnBW's push into renewable energy projects and electrification. More decentralised work has also raised demand for company vehicles. To support this, the firm has installed roughly 1,400 charging points across 135 locations. Each year, around €2 million is spent on expanding this network.

The company's electrification strategy covers multiple areas. Employees can charge at work, at home with integrated billing, or use the EnBW Mobility charging card for public stations. Meanwhile, vehicle maintenance has been streamlined. Since 2009, EnBW has consolidated five workshops into two in-house facilities for inspections and specialist repairs.
