EnBW has expanded its vehicle fleet significantly over the past decade. The company now manages around 5,400 cars, up from 3,600 in 2015. This growth comes alongside major investments in electric charging infrastructure and new mobility services.
The increase in fleet size stems from EnBW's push into renewable energy projects and electrification. More decentralised work has also raised demand for company cars. To support this, the firm has installed roughly 1,400 charging points across 135 locations. Each year, around €2 million is spent on expanding this network.
The company's electrification strategy covers multiple areas. Employees can charge at work, at home with integrated billing, or use the EnBW Mobility charging card for public stations. Meanwhile, vehicle maintenance has been streamlined. Since 2009, EnBW has consolidated five workshops into two in-house facilities for inspections and specialist repairs.
Norman Scheck and Vanessa Hindinger oversee these changes. As heads of mobility management and services, they guide their teams in adapting to EnBW's evolving needs.
EnBW's fleet now stands at 5,400 cars, supported by a growing charging network and centralised maintenance. The company continues to invest in infrastructure and services to meet its operational demands. These steps reflect its broader shift towards sustainable and decentralised energy solutions.
