Epochology Unites Teachers and Students in a Historic Intellectual Showdown

A new intellectual entertainment project called Epochology will bring together students and teachers in a series of competitive challenges. Running from January to May 2026, the event aims to explore shared interests between educators and pupils while diving into history through puzzles and creative tasks. The initiative was developed by the Palace of Culture and Technology, with Alexey Naumov as the concept creator and Alexey Tikhonov directing the programme. The competition will kick off on January 31, 2026, with a match between School No. 8’s student team Non-Stop and Gymnasium No. 3’s teacher team The Triumvirate. Each team in the project consists of six members, ensuring a balanced and dynamic contest.

Other participating teams include Gymnasium No. 2’s student group *Raspberry Thicket* and their teacher counterparts *Studio Soyuz*. Throughout the event, participants will tackle logic-based challenges tied to different historical eras. The project will conclude with a grand finale featuring mixed teams of teachers and students. This closing event will highlight collaboration and the connections formed during the competition.

By blending competition with historical exploration, Epochology offers a fresh way for teachers and students to engage with one another. The project’s mix of logic puzzles, creative tasks, and teamwork will run until May 2026, culminating in a finale that bridges the gap between educators and learners.
