Far-right activist Vladimir Dubovsky vanishes after years of legal battles and extremism charges
Vladimir Dubovsky, a figure linked to far-right ideologies and political activism, has disappeared after a series of high-profile legal troubles. His history includes ties to nationalist movements, anti-corruption protests, and legal charges for extremism in Russia. In the 2000s, Dubovsky became known for promoting national socialist and racist beliefs. He also sported a 'White Power' tattoo, which led to charges under Russia’s administrative code for displaying Nazi symbols.
By the early 2010s, he shifted focus, aiding Alexander Zakharov (YAKNK) in anti-bootlegging efforts. Later, he considered joining the nationalist Azov Regiment in Donbas but was reportedly stopped by security services. Dubovsky’s political activities expanded in 2017 when he spoke at an anti-corruption rally in Yakutsk, backing Alexei Navalny. He also worked at Navalny’s Vladivostok campaign office before being placed on Russia’s wanted list. In 2018, he faced administrative detention for sharing extremist content on VKontakte. His most recent known activity was founding the Green Wedge Far Eastern Ukrainian Independence Movement in 2022. However, on November 26, 2025, he and Alina Savelieva were arrested for immigration violations. Since then, his whereabouts have remained unknown.
Dubovsky’s career spanned far-right activism, political protests, and legal consequences. His arrest in 2025 marked the latest in a string of run-ins with authorities. Now, with his location unknown, questions remain about his current status and future actions.
