FinTRACE AI Tool Transforms Financial and Medical Data Analysis
A new AI tool called FinTRACE is set to change how financial and medical data is analysed. Developed by researchers at Sberbank’s Practical Artificial Intelligence Center, it turns raw transaction histories into structured knowledge. This could lead to fairer lending decisions and earlier disease detection in healthcare. FinTRACE works by converting event-based data, such as financial transactions or medical records, into a detailed knowledge base. It captures individual behaviour, habits, and long-term patterns before AI systems make decisions. The approach combines information retrieval, explainable rules, and large language model reasoning with structured time-based data.
Banks and digital platforms can use FinTRACE to build more flexible and cost-effective AI models. It helps identify customer struggles early, allowing for timely support. Beyond finance, the tool can analyse doctor visits and lab results to predict diseases sooner and improve treatment plans. The research, led by Maksim Makarenko, has been accepted for presentation at the 49th ACM SIGIR conference. The team believes FinTRACE will make AI-driven services in finance and healthcare more accurate, reliable, and transparent.
FinTRACE offers a universal way to process event-based data for tasks like credit scoring, churn prediction, and medical forecasting. Its ability to detect stable patterns could lead to better personalised services and risk assessments. Major institutions are expected to adopt the tool to enhance decision-making across industries.
