Frankfurt Savings Bank is building a new headquarters in the heart of the city. The modern structure will stand at An der Hauptwache 1, near St. Catherine’s Church and the central transport hub. Completion is expected by early 2028, marking a key step in the bank’s long-term growth plans. The bank acquired the 10,000-square-metre site in 2024 and adapted the original design to suit its requirements. The final plans feature six above-ground floors and two underground levels, with a striking roofline and minimalist styling.
The project is a joint effort with OFB Projektentwicklung GmbH. Sustainability is a core focus, with targets including DGNB certification and ESG compliance under EU Taxonomy rules. Digital infrastructure will also meet high standards, as the building pursues WiredScore Gold certification.
Its location near Hauptwache station ensures easy access for employees and visitors. The bank’s decision to revise the design reflects its commitment to both functionality and environmental responsibility. Once finished, the headquarters will serve as a central hub for Frankfurt Savings Bank’s operations. The building’s green credentials and prime location reinforce its role in the bank’s future. Construction remains on track for a 2028 opening.
