Injured workers in Sverdlovsk receive adapted Lada Vestas for mobility

Residents of Kirovgrad, Serov, Kushva, and Belyakovka have received specially adapted Lada Vestas after suffering severe workplace injuries. The vehicles were provided by the regional Social Fund as part of a medical rehabilitation programme. A total of 33 injured workers in the Sverdlovsk region have already benefited from this initiative since January. The cars come with hand controls and automatic transmissions, customised to match each recipient's physical needs. Owners receive the vehicles for seven years but cannot sell or transfer them during this period. After the term ends, they keep the car, and the fund supplies a new one if required.

The Social Fund covers one repair within the seven-year period. It also reimburses part of the fuel expenses and pays half the cost of mandatory third-party liability insurance (OSAGO). Applications for a car, expense reimbursements, or insurance support can be made through the *Gosuslugi* portal or at a Social Fund client service centre. Beyond adapted vehicles, workplace injury victims are entitled to additional support. This includes one-time and monthly payments, rehabilitation equipment, prosthetics, medications, and vouchers for sanatorium-resort treatment.

The programme ensures long-term mobility and financial relief for severely injured workers. With 33 vehicles already distributed this year, the Social Fund continues to expand access to adapted transport and rehabilitation services. Eligible residents can apply online or in person for further assistance.
