Kazakhstan Launches AI-Powered Virtual Assistant for Statistical Data
Kazakhstan’s Bureau of National Statistics (Qazstat) has introduced AI Stat, a new AI-driven virtual assistant. The tool aims to simplify how businesses and individuals access and submit statistical data. It marks another step in the country’s broader push to digitalise government services with artificial intelligence. The assistant launched after a pilot phase in April 2026. Developers refined its features based on early user feedback. AI Stat now operates in a conversational style, guiding users through reporting tasks and form completion.
By entering a business identification number (BIN) or individual identification number (IIN), the system generates a list of required statistical forms. It also helps select the correct OKED activity codes. If users encounter issues, the assistant redirects them to a call centre for further support. Maksat Turlybbaev, head of Qazstat, highlighted the assistant’s efficiency. He noted that AI Stat provides answers in a few clicks, removing the need for complex navigation. The platform combines consultation, data access, and reporting tools in one interface. Currently available in two languages, an English version is planned for future release.
AI Stat reduces the administrative burden on users by streamlining digital interactions. The assistant’s launch reflects Kazakhstan’s ongoing efforts to integrate AI into public services. Officials expect the tool to improve data accuracy and simplify compliance for businesses and individuals.
