"The first Agents Day will take place on May 1, 2026, at the Beato Innovation District in Lisbon," Pedro Oliveira, co-founder of CTO Portugal, told Lusa.

"One hundred people have registered, and the event is now sold out," he added.

CTO Portugal—a community of technology and artificial intelligence leaders co-founded by Pedro Gustavo Torres and Pedro Oliveira—currently brings together over 700 members and has, over recent years, organized initiatives, meetups, and events to connect those shaping the future of technology in the Portuguese market.

The audience for Agents Day "is primarily made up of developers, founders, and builders—all with a direct interest in AI tools, automation, and the creation of new products."

The idea for this first-of-its-kind event "stemmed from a simple conviction: artificial intelligence is no longer just a topic for debate—it has become a critical tool for transformation across every aspect of our society," Oliveira explained.

"Instead of hosting yet another conference filled with presentations, we wanted to create an execution-focused event where programmers, founders, and builders could experiment, build, and showcase what's already possible with AI agents," he added.

Talent Protocol is co-organizing Agents Day in partnership with CTO Portugal and "is building reputation infrastructure for an agent-centric internet, helping both agents and humans determine who to trust based on verifiable data," the company stated.

In the context of the event, "Talent Protocol brings its connection to the builder ecosystem and the hands-on dimension of project execution, evaluation, and talent discovery," it explained.

The goal of this event "is to create a real workspace—not just a talking shop—where people can build with AI agents, test ideas, share knowledge, and accelerate new collaborations" and "we also want to demonstrate that Lisbon has the critical mass to be at the forefront of this new technological wave," Oliveira detailed.

Regarding expectations for the inaugural edition, the CTO Portugal co-founder emphasized that, as the first of its kind, "the main priority is to validate the format and ensure an incredible experience for all participants."

In fact, "we want the day to yield tangible projects, demos, new connections between people, and—ideally—the launch of new teams, products, or initiatives from here," he concluded.
