Logitech's G Pro X2 Superstrike redefines mouse clicks with groundbreaking tech
Logitech has unveiled its latest gaming mouse, the G Pro X2 Superstrike, with a bold claim: it reinvents the mouse click. The device ditches traditional microswitches in favor of a new Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS). Priced at €179.90, it will officially launch on February 18, though pre-orders open two days earlier.
The G Pro X2 Superstrike keeps the familiar shape of its predecessor, the G Pro X Superlight 2. Its design and dimensions remain nearly unchanged, ensuring a similar feel for users. Under the hood, however, the mouse introduces a major shift—replacing mechanical switches with HITS technology for both click signals and haptic feedback.
The new system allows gamers to adjust click feedback through Logitech's G Hub software. This customisation lets players fine-tune the response to their liking. Alongside this innovation, the mouse packs a Hero 2 sensor, capable of tracking up to 44,000 CPI/DPI.
While the G Pro X2 Superstrike is set for an official release on February 18, it has already appeared at select retailers. Shops like Geizhals.de list it from €179.99, while idealo.de offers it from €170 with delivery in 1-7 working days. Logitech's own store sells it for around €180. Still, one question lingers: the long-term durability of the new keyswitches remains untested.
The G Pro X2 Superstrike marks a significant change in gaming mouse design by removing traditional microswitches. Its HITS technology and customisable feedback aim to appeal to competitive gamers. The device is now available for purchase, with wider availability expected after the official launch.
