Malaysian crypto platform Hata saw rapid growth in 2025, driven by a surge in young investors. By the end of the year, the company had attracted over 209,000 users across its two platforms. Millennials and Generation Z accounted for 83% of its user base, highlighting strong appeal among younger traders. The platform's monthly fiat deposits climbed to RM16.1 million, a 315% increase compared to the previous year. Crypto deposits also remained steady, averaging 2.65 million units each month. By September 2025, assets under custody had peaked at RM115 million.

Meanwhile, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer Darien Ng emphasised the role of local talent and supportive regulations in Hata's success.
