Milan's A-Cube raises €4M to revolutionize digital tax compliance with AI

A-Cube, a Milan-based startup specialising in digital tax document management, has secured €4 million in fresh funding. The company helps businesses handle electronic invoicing and real-time tax reporting. Its platform already processes over 70 million invoices for more than 450 customers across 10 countries. The latest investment round was led by P101 SGR, with additional support from Sella Direct Ventures. Antonino Caccamo, co-founder and CTO of A-Cube, highlighted that the funding arrives as global tax regulations undergo major shifts. The EU’s VAT in the Digital Age (VIDA) directive is set to push more companies toward real-time reporting.

A-Cube plans to use the new capital to expand its platform’s capabilities. The focus will be on integrating artificial intelligence to go beyond basic compliance. The goal is to turn the system into a broader technology layer, automating financial, tax, and operational workflows.

Giuseppe Donvito, a partner at P101, pointed to the rapid growth of electronic invoicing. By 2030, an estimated 90% of European firms could adopt the technology, creating a market worth over €20 billion. A-Cube’s existing reach—with millions of invoices processed—positions it well for this expanding sector. The €4 million funding will help A-Cube scale its AI-driven features and meet rising demand for digital tax solutions. With stricter EU regulations on the horizon, the company aims to become a key player in automating financial processes. Its platform already supports hundreds of businesses, and further growth is expected as electronic invoicing becomes standard.
