National Astronomy Meeting 2026 opens call for session proposals by December
The 2026 National Astronomy Meeting (NAM2026) will take place at the University of Birmingham from Monday 20 July to Friday 24 July 2026. Organised alongside the university’s School of Physics and Astronomy, the event will cover a wide range of astronomy research across the UK. NAM2026 will operate as a hybrid conference, with most attendees expected to join in person. The format aims to make astronomy and space science research accessible to as many people as possible.
The meeting will include topics such as instrumentation, astro-particle communities, UKSP, and MIST communities. Organisers have now opened the call for session-proposal submissions, with a deadline set for Friday 19 December 2025. Proposals can be submitted online via the official NAM2026 website. For further details or questions, the Local Organising Committee, led by Dr Benjamin Gompertz, is available at [email protected].
The conference will provide a platform for researchers to share advancements in astronomy. Those interested in submitting session proposals must do so by the December 2025 cutoff. More information is available at https://www.sr.bham.ac.uk/nam2026/session_proposals.php.
