Nizhny Novgorod Expands Free Preventive Healthcare with Second Health Center
A second Health Center has opened in Nizhny Novgorod this year. The latest facility is located at City Polyclinic No. 30 in the Sovetskiy District. It follows the launch of the first centre in late May at Polyclinic No. 4 in the Kanavinsky District. The new centre at Polyclinic No. 30 provides programs to evaluate risks linked to premature aging and chronic diseases. Screenings cover lung and vascular health, body composition analysis, and skin cancer checks. Residents can access these services for free under their compulsory health insurance.
Specialists at the centres offer tailored advice on diet, exercise, and disease prevention after assessments. Yury Balashov, a member of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Legislative Assembly, was among the first to use the new services.
The expansion of these centres marks a key step in developing preventive medicine across the region. Plans include the future opening of a Healthy Longevity Center in Nizhny Novgorod. The two centres now provide broader access to preventive healthcare for local residents. Free screenings and personalised recommendations aim to improve early detection and long-term health outcomes. Further developments in the region’s preventive medicine network are expected to follow.
