Nizhny Novgorod Launches Miniature Landmark Contest for 95th Anniversary
An open creative competition called Autoplant in Miniature has launched in Nizhny Novgorod. The event invites residents of all ages to build miniature models of local landmarks as part of the District Beyond Time project, marking the 95th anniversary of the Avtozavod District.
The contest accepts entries in two categories: Architectural object and Memorial or other structures. Models must meet specific size rules—15 to 20 cm tall for buildings and 8 to 10 cm for memorials. Participants can apply online before the March 30 deadline, though organisers have not disclosed how many people have registered so far.
A seminar for entrants will take place on February 25 at 2:00 PM at the Business and Legal Information Center. Completed three-dimensional models must be submitted in person on April 14, between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, at the same location.
The winning designs will be added to a unified functional map of the Avtozavodsky District. This map is set to be displayed publicly in 2026. For details, organisers advise calling 435-87-69.
The competition remains open to all Nizhny Novgorod residents, with no age limits. Selected models will form part of a permanent exhibition celebrating the district's history. The project aims to create a lasting visual record of local architecture and heritage.
