Northern Colorado's Native Plant Sale Opens April 1 for Eco-Friendly Gardens

The High Plains Environmental Center's annual Native Plant Sale kicks off on 1 April 2023. Running until the end of September, the event offers residents of Northern Colorado a chance to buy locally adapted flowers, grasses, and shrubs. Proceeds will fund the nonprofit's work in conservation, education, and community projects.

The online sale runs daily from 1 April to 30 September, with shoppers able to collect their orders in person at the centre in Loveland. Occasional in-person pop-up sales will also take place throughout the season.

All plants in the sale are native to Northern Colorado, requiring less water and no pesticides. The selection includes pollinator-friendly species designed to thrive in the region's climate. By promoting these plants, the centre aims to strengthen the area's natural landscape one garden at a time.

Funds raised will support the nonprofit's environmental education, habitat restoration, and community outreach programmes. The sale provides an opportunity for residents to enhance their gardens while contributing to local conservation efforts.
