Leopard Cub Rescued From Riverside Bushes In Dhar; Shifted To Van Vihar, Bhopal, For Specialised Treatment

Orphaned leopard cub rescued and rushed to Bhopal's Van Vihar National Park

A female leopard cub was rescued from a riverbank in Benchkunwa village, Dhar district, on Sunday. Villagers spotted the animal in the bushes and alerted the forest department for help. The cub was found weak and in need of urgent care. A team from the Dhamnod forest range safely removed it from the area. Wildlife experts then attempted to reunite the cub with its mother, but she failed to return.

After the unsuccessful search, the cub was taken to Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal. Veterinary doctors examined it and confirmed the need for specialised treatment. Since then, wildlife experts and vets have been providing round-the-clock monitoring and care. The cub remains under close observation at the national park. Its condition is being tracked by a dedicated team of professionals. Further updates will depend on its response to treatment.
