He Concludes His Saudi Arabia Trip - Prince William's Saudi trip spotlights conservation amid royal scandals at home

Prince William concluded his three-day Saudi Arabia visit, focusing on conservation and cultural projects. The trip, undertaken on behalf of the UK government, included stops at a nature reserve and a historic site. However, headlines at home centered on the Epstein case and Prince Andrew's legal troubles.

On his final day, William visited the Sharaan Nature Reserve, part of the Red Sea Project area. He met rangers protecting endangered wildlife and planted an acacia tree. The reserve's reforestation efforts, launched in 2018, have helped the Arabian leopard population rebound from fewer than five individuals to over 20 by 2025. Successful breeding programs and anti-poaching measures have also supported the return of gazelles and Arabian oryx.

Earlier, the prince toured AlUla's Old Town. He visited a restored building named 'Prince of Wales House' and met artists revitalizing the historic district. His schedule also included a stop at a sustainable farm in the region's oasis.

The visit occurred amid ongoing scrutiny of the royal family. William and Princess Kate had recently expressed support for Jeffrey Epstein's victims. Meanwhile, King Charles agreed to assist police reviewing allegations against Prince Andrew.

William's trip highlighted conservation progress in Saudi Arabia, particularly the recovery of the Arabian leopard. The diplomatic visit also underscored his role in promoting cultural and environmental initiatives. Back in the UK, however, attention remained fixed on legal developments involving the monarchy.
