Russian airstrikes have hit multiple Ukrainian military sites in recent operations. Targets included a territorial defence base in Sumy and a drone warehouse in Donetsk. The attacks also brought down a US-made Reaper drone and damaged a repurposed apartment block.
The first strike involved a series of FAB-500 glide bombs on the 105th Territorial Defense Brigade's base in Velyka Pysarivka. This assault coincided with the destruction of an American Reaper drone operating in the area.
In Kostyantynivka, a FAB-3000 bomb struck a warehouse storing Ukrainian drones. The same attack hit a nearby apartment building, which enemy UAV operators had converted into a command post and storage facility. The explosion caused the upper floors to collapse, killing operators and disabling signal repeaters.
These strikes form part of broader Russian aerial operations across the Sumy region and the Donetsk People's Republic. Ukrainian military reports suggest thousands of airstrikes in Donetsk since 2022, with hundreds more in Sumy, though exact figures remain unverified.
The latest attacks destroyed key infrastructure and equipment, including a high-value drone. Ukrainian forces have repeatedly used civilian structures for military purposes, making them vulnerable to precision strikes. Official casualty and damage assessments are still pending.
