Sberbank's AI agent now conducts 130,000 job interviews in months

Sberbank has launched an AI-powered agent to handle preliminary job interviews. The system now conducts conversations, analyses resumes, and generates reports without human input. In early 2026 alone, it completed over 130,000 interviews. The AI agent speeds up the hiring process by cutting the time from application to initial assessment. What once took 23 hours now requires just three. It also eases the workload for recruitment teams while providing faster feedback to candidates.

Anna Ovchinnikova, Sberbank’s Senior Managing Director for Talent Acquisition, highlighted how the technology is reshaping recruitment. The next phase of the GigaRecruiter project will refine interaction scripts and link the system with the MAX messenger platform.

Further plans include fully automated interview scheduling and an AI assistant for vacancy briefings. These tools will help hiring managers streamline their workflows and improve efficiency. The AI agent has already processed thousands of interviews since its rollout. By reducing delays and operational burdens, it aims to enhance both recruiter productivity and candidate satisfaction. Future updates will expand its capabilities even further.
