Smena's Subscription App Revolutionizes Discounts in Yakutsk

A new mobile app called Smena is changing how people find venues and access discounts in Yakutsk. Founded by Yevgeny Bzhelenko, the platform offers instant savings without the hassle of collecting points or waiting for cashback. The startup has already gained recognition by winning the 14th cohort of the B8 Accelerator.

Smena operates on a paid subscription system called smeny, with three tiers: Standard, VIP, and Platinum. Users pay a single fee to unlock discounts across all partner venues, avoiding the need for multiple loyalty cards. The app applies bonuses immediately, so customers save money right away.

Businesses can list their details in the Smena app for free, making it easier for locals to discover them. The service is currently focused on Yakutsk but has plans to expand into Vladivostok, Tyumen, and Anapa in the near future. The project’s success was boosted by its victory in the B8 Accelerator programme. This win has helped Smena refine its model and prepare for wider growth across Russia.

With its straightforward subscription system and instant discounts, Smena aims to simplify how people engage with local businesses. The app’s expansion into new cities will test its ability to attract both users and partner venues. For now, Yakutsk residents can already access its benefits through a single subscription.
