Sustainable Packaging Summit 2026 Unites Industry Leaders in Utrecht for Innovation and Regulation Talks
The Sustainable Packaging Summit will gather industry leaders in Utrecht from 10 to 12 November 2026. Held at the Jaarbeurs Event & Exhibition Centre, the event will focus on key themes like business mobilisation, material innovation, and regulatory progress. High-profile speakers and interactive sessions will shape the three-day programme. Each day of the summit will centre on a distinct theme. The first day explores the strategic landscape and business mobilisation, while the second shifts to packaging materials transformation. The final day highlights innovation opportunities in sustainable packaging.
The main stage will host discussions on pressing topics, including AI’s role in managing post-consumer waste. A panel on the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) will feature representatives from the European Commission and EUROPEN’s Francesca Stevens. Former Unilever CEO Paul Polman will take part in a fireside chat and a discussion with Michelle Gibbons of the European Brands Association (AIM). Attendees can also join networking lunches, themed huddles, and a VIP session with Polman and other business leaders. On 11 November, the Sustainability Awards ceremony will recognise winners across various categories, presenting them with crystal trophies. The following day, finalists from the awards will share their product stories in a live Q&A session, answering questions from the audience. Major brands like PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, and Bel Group will be present, alongside keynote speeches, high-level panels, and breakout sessions.
The summit aims to bring together key players in sustainable packaging for three days of discussions, awards, and networking. The event will cover regulatory updates, technological advancements, and practical solutions for reducing packaging waste. Final decisions on sessions and speakers will be confirmed closer to the date.
