Ural Mars: A Futuristic Glamping Observatory Opens in 2027 for Stargazers and Scientists

A unique glamping observatory named Ural Mars is set to open in the Sverdlovsk Region by 2027. The project combines astronomy, science education, and experimental agriculture in a single site. Developers are now finalising plans to secure land and install specialised facilities before launch. The Ural Mars project will feature guesthouses with telescopes and transparent roofs for stargazing. Each unit is designed to give visitors direct access to astronomical observations. Alongside accommodation, the site will host regular lectures, workshops, and events led by well-known scientists and science communicators.

Plans also include the construction of greenhouses to begin growing potatoes. Test-Expert, a laboratory testing centre, will supply advanced greenhouses and climate chambers for plant cultivation. These facilities aim to support research into sustainable food production in controlled environments. To move forward, Civil Science Glamping is preparing documentation for an auction to secure the necessary land plot. Dmitry Ionin, acting deputy governor and investment minister of the Sverdlovsk Region, has emphasised the importance of collaboration with Ogneupory company. His support highlights the project’s potential economic and scientific benefits for the region.

The Ural Mars observatory will open its doors in 2027, offering a mix of astronomy, education, and agricultural experiments. With specialised greenhouses, guesthouse telescopes, and a packed events programme, the site aims to attract both tourists and researchers. The next step involves securing the land through an auction process before construction begins.
