Yakutia's Digital Healthcare Push Transforms Patient Access and Rights

A digital healthcare initiative called ZdravControl (HealthControl) has been running in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) since March 2023. The project aims to boost patient satisfaction by tackling common issues in accessing medical services and protecting citizens’ rights. The scheme is a joint effort between the republic’s Ministry of Health and the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. It provides online tools to help residents resolve problems with healthcare access and allows public monitoring of medical institutions.

So far, the project’s medical chat services have addressed over 5,000 complaints from citizens. These digital solutions focus on improving transparency and ensuring patients receive the care they need. Residents in Yakutsk can use the service via the *Yakutsk.Health* platform. For those in other districts of Yakutia, the same support is available through *Sakha.Health*.

The ZdravControl project continues to expand its reach across Yakutia. By offering direct complaint resolution and public oversight, it provides a structured way for citizens to engage with their healthcare system. The initiative’s success so far highlights the growing role of digital tools in improving medical services.
