Bolt rolls out fuel savings for Portugal's drivers amid rising costs
Bolt has launched a new scheme to help its drivers in Portugal cope with rising fuel costs. The initiative, run in partnership with the Ryd app, provides year-round savings and additional fuel vouchers for eligible drivers.
The move comes as fuel prices continue to climb across the country's private transport sector. Drivers can now access a €25 credit by entering a promotional code in the Ryd app. Once activated, they simply select their preferred gas station in the app to receive an automatic discount at the pump.
Between now and April 5, Bolt will also issue fuel vouchers to drivers who complete over 250 kilometres on Bolt trips. Priority will go to those with the highest number of journeys during this period. The vouchers will be sent directly through the Bolt Driver app.
The Ryd app itself offers added convenience, allowing drivers to refuel and pay without leaving their vehicle. Bolt has emphasised the importance of drivers managing their schedules responsibly, including taking regular breaks.
Mário de Morais, Bolt's General Manager for Portugal, stated that the company remains committed to finding new ways to support its partner drivers. The scheme builds on existing fuel discounts already available to Bolt's network. The new measures provide both immediate and long-term savings for Bolt drivers. By combining fuel vouchers with the Ryd app's €25 credit, the company aims to ease financial pressure during a period of high fuel costs. Eligible drivers can start claiming discounts straight away.
