CheckSnap's AI-Powered Cameras Revolutionize Vehicle Inspection Workflows
A new automated camera system, developed by CheckSnap GmbH, is helping car workshops and dealerships streamline vehicle inspections. The technology captures high-quality images to document a vehicle's condition before and after service. The company, based in Steinheim am Albuch, aims to reduce disputes over damage claims while improving efficiency for businesses.
The CheckSnap system was created by Sonja Uthoff and Thomas Frömel, with input from Christian Uthoff, managing director of Uthoff KLS GmbH. His experience in the industry drove the need for a solution that protects workshops from false damage accusations. The system uses eight cameras to take tamper-proof photos from set angles, including four DSLR images and four 4K wide-angle shots.
Each set of images is automatically saved, timestamped, and linked to the vehicle via license plate recognition. This ensures reliable documentation and speeds up claims processing. The system also offers enhanced quality control and transparent workflows for staff and customers alike.
Designed for independent workshops, dealerships, body shops, and tyre services, CheckSnap requires no complex IT setup. It is ready to use immediately after installation, with personalised assistance available. The standard package includes eight cameras, a year of updates, a support hotline, and cloud backup, with optional extensions up to three years.
The net sales price for the system is €14,990, with additional accessories sold separately.
CheckSnap provides workshops with a fully automated way to document vehicle conditions. The system's high-resolution image search and secure data handling help prevent disputes while improving workflow efficiency. Businesses can now adopt the technology without lengthy installation or IT complications.
