Fortis Hospital Kalyan revolutionizes emergency care with Code QRT 2.0 launch
Fortis Hospital Kalyan has launched Code QRT 2.0, a new initiative to strengthen emergency care across the region. The programme aims to ensure faster, more coordinated treatment for critical patients. Alongside this, the hospital has also unveiled an upgraded Emergency Department equipped with advanced medical technology. The newly upgraded Emergency Department at Fortis Hospital Kalyan now features four emergency beds and a dedicated negative pressure isolation room. It includes continuous cardiac monitoring, ventilation, and defibrillation systems, making it one of the most advanced emergency care facilities in the area. Over the past two decades, the hospital’s specialists have handled more than 60,000 emergencies.
Dr. Ashutosh Pandey, Facility Director, explained that the redesign focuses on speed and precision. The team has already achieved door-to-balloon times as low as 28 minutes for heart attack patients, according to Dr. Sudhir Gore, Head of Trauma & Emergency Services. Code QRT 2.0 extends emergency support beyond the hospital’s walls. Fifteen major hospitals across Kalyan-Dombivali will now work together under this system. The goal is to prevent critical patients from slipping through gaps in care and to guarantee treatment within the crucial first hour.
The initiative and upgraded department will provide faster, more efficient emergency responses. Patients in Kalyan-Dombivali will now have access to a network of coordinated care. Fortis Hospital Kalyan’s improvements aim to set a new standard for emergency medical services in the region.
