Nikolaevsk-on-Amur is set to launch a major upgrade of its heating networks. The project, costing 175 million rubles, will modernise key parts of the city’s infrastructure. Work will stretch across several months, with different phases planned throughout the year. Engineers will replace 12 sections of the heating network, covering over three kilometres. They will also restore thermal insulation on nine segments of the system. The repairs will take four months to complete, partly due to the city’s northern climate.
Insulation work will run from January to May, then resume in October until the year’s end. Pipeline replacements will start after the heating season finishes and continue until September 30. Vyacheslav Skorodelov, chief engineer of the Nikolaevsk CHPP branch, is overseeing the upgrades. Residents should prepare for hot water shutoffs during the summer months as repairs progress. Traffic restrictions will also be in place along Kantera Street while the work is underway.
The 175-million-ruble project aims to improve the city’s heating reliability. Repairs will address both pipelines and insulation, with disruptions expected during key phases. The upgrades are scheduled to wrap up by the end of September.
