Russia's Gosuslugi portal now issues veteran certificates online for special operation participants

Russia’s Gosuslugi public services portal has introduced a new feature for veterans of the special military operation. They can now request an official certificate confirming their participation. The document is also available in person at various government offices.

Family members of servicemen can use the same online tool to verify their relative’s status. The move aims to simplify access to support measures for those involved in the operation and their loved ones. To obtain the certificate online, applicants must have a verified account on the Gosuslugi portal. They fill out a special form, and the document arrives in their personal account within four business days. Alternatively, veterans can collect the certificate in person at a Multifunctional Public Services Center (MFC), their local military enlistment office, their unit, or the Defense Ministry’s Military Social Support Center.

In Khabarovsk Krai, residents continue to send aid to troops on the front lines. The region currently offers 46 support measures for participants in the special military operation and their families. These include one-time payments, benefits, and access to psychological and legal assistance. Of these, 17 initiatives fall under the Unified Basic Standard, ensuring a consistent level of support across the region. The new Gosuslugi feature provides a faster way for veterans and their families to access official recognition. With the certificate, they can more easily apply for available benefits and assistance. The system also reduces the need for in-person visits, streamlining the process for those eligible.
