S7 Airlines launches direct Vladivostok-Guangzhou flights this month
Russian carrier S7 Airlines is set to launch a new direct route from Vladivostok to Guangzhou. The service S7 Airlines already operates flights from Vladivostok to Beijing and Shanghai. Now, it is expanding its network with twice-weekly services to Guangzhou, China’s fourth-largest city with nearly 19 million residents.
The new route will take approximately 5 hours and 10 minutes per flight. Industry observers suggest strong demand if the airline offers competitive pricing. This move positions S7 as a direct competitor to China Southern Airlines, which currently dominates the Vladivostok–Guangzhou connection. The expansion reflects the carrier’s strategy to strengthen its presence in the Chinese market. Passengers will soon have an additional option for travel between Russia’s Far East and southern China.
The launch of this route will provide travellers with another direct link between Vladivostok and Guangzhou. If fares remain competitive, the service could attract significant passenger numbers. The twice-weekly flights are scheduled to begin later this month.
