Skoda Kushaq facelift debuts with sharper looks and plush interiors

The Skoda Kushaq facelift has arrived with subtle design updates and a focus on interior comfort. While it retains its strong driving performance, some advanced safety features found in rival SUVs are missing.

The refreshed model keeps the same 188 mm ground clearance, which remains lower than many competitors.

The exterior changes on the Kushaq facelift are understated but noticeable. The front now sports a new grille following Skoda's Modern Solid design, along with connected LED daytime running lights. Slimmer headlamps, fog lamps, and tail lamps appear across all variants, while the bumpers have been made chunkier for a bolder look.

Inside, the Kushaq excels in comfort. Front passengers benefit from ventilated seats, while rear occupants get a massager, dedicated AC vents, and charging ports. Space is generous for two, but fitting three in the back may feel tight.

On the road, the Kushaq remains agile. Both engine options deliver adequate power for city and highway driving, paired with a well-tuned suspension for a smooth ride. The steering is sharp, and the SUV handles sudden lane changes confidently at higher speeds.

However, the facelift misses out on several safety technologies offered by rivals. Features like a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, lane keep assist, blind spot detection, and lane departure assist are absent from the Kushaq's lineup.

The Skoda Kushaq facelift builds on its predecessor's strengths with minor styling tweaks and a comfortable cabin. Its driving dynamics and ride quality remain standout features. Yet, the lack of advanced driver aids and lower ground clearance could be drawbacks for buyers comparing it to other SUVs in its class.
