Vanino's mobile network gets a major boost with Megafon's new base station

Megafon has activated a new base station in central Vanino, boosting mobile coverage for the town’s 16,000 residents. The upgrade strengthens connectivity across busy urban areas, including shops, government offices, and transport routes. It also supports nearby neighbourhoods with improved reliability and faster data speeds. Vanino sits on the Tatar Strait, roughly 370 kilometres from Khabarovsk, and serves as a vital logistics centre in Russia’s Far East. The town hosts the region’s largest seaport and acts as a junction for the Baikal-Amur Mainline. Local infrastructure includes schools, kindergartens, healthcare facilities, and residential zones.

The new base station delivers stable voice calls, including VoLTE technology, and high-speed mobile internet for work, communication, and entertainment. It also balances network traffic more efficiently, reducing congestion and enhancing service quality in surrounding areas. This follows earlier expansions, where Megafon extended 4G coverage to nearby dacha communities like *Rassvet*, *Voskhod*, and *Sokol*. With this latest upgrade, Vanino’s telecom network now provides seamless connectivity across both urban and suburban zones. The improvements ensure stronger coverage for residents, businesses, and transport links in the region.

The completed infrastructure project reinforces Vanino’s role as a connected logistics and transport hub. Residents and visitors now benefit from more reliable mobile services, including faster data and clearer calls. The upgrade also supports future growth in the town’s digital and economic activities.
