Geely recalls 40,000 Atlas SUVs in Russia over parking sensor flaw

Geely has announced a recall of nearly 40,000 Atlas crossovers in Russia to replace a faulty fuse in the parking assist system due to the risk of malfunctions. The recall affects vehicles manufactured between October 11, 2023, and September 30, 2025.

A total of 38,900 Geely Atlas SUVs will be recalled in Russia, the company's press service reported. The defective fuse in the parking assist system may cause sensor overheating and damage to adjacent components.

The recall campaign, approved by Russia's Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart), covers vehicles produced from October 11, 2023, to September 30, 2025, the company clarified.

At authorized dealerships, owners will receive a free replacement of the parking assist control module fuse—changing its rating from 10A to 5A—as well as a system inspection and software update for the parking assist feature.

The company emphasized that such recalls are standard practice among global automakers, aimed at preventing potential malfunctions in vehicle components and enhancing safety for drivers and passengers.
